Driving through south from Florence and crossing the Chianti hills, you arrive at  San Gimignano, a picturesque and charming medieval jewel (declared a world heritage site by Unesco), famous for its white wine, Vernaccia, and its skyscrapers! We will have free time to walk around the old streets and admire the beautiful landscape that characterizes this country. San Gimignano rises on top of a hill 324m above sea level,  two main squares are arranged here: Piazza della Cisterna, has a triangular shape, surrounded by tower houses, and Piazza del Duomo, the centre of power, thanks to the presence of the Town Hall and the highest tower (Torre Grossa).

Duration: 3 hours , external visit of the city, included  a museum or the Collegiate church Santa Maria Assunta. 

Duration: full day, if you are interested also to visit a winery and to taste a good wine.
