Siena: a living museum. A step into the past, through fortified houses, medieval towers, Piazza del Campo, Gothic and Romanesque churches. The tour starts from the Cathedral, famous for its unique floor. Then will go to the Opera Museum, which is home to the Majesty executed by Duccio di Buoninsegna. Then get ready to climb the “facciatone” . From there you will see a beautiful view of Siena. We continue by visiting the Baptistery. At the end we will see Piazza del Campo where the Palazzo Pubblico , the Town Hall, and the Museo Civico are situated. Inside the museum are frescoes: Simone Martini’s Maestà and Good and Bad Government by Ambrogio Lorenzetti. To bring our visit to a triumphal end , we climb to the top of the Mangia Tower to enjoy the 360 °view.
If you are not tired, we can then relax by eating good homemade ice cream.
