Tuscany Tour Guide in Siena and Florence

Florence – Walking tour

A walk from Piazza della Signoria to discover the other side of the Arno river.
From the meeting point in Piazza della Signoria, we cross Ponte Vecchio “The Old Bridge”, following the path of the Vasari Corridor, that the Medici family built to join the Uffizi to Palazzo Pitti “Pitti Palace”. From Ponte Vecchio, we can admire the view and the ancient Florentine goldsmith workshops. Afterwards I suggest you to enter Santa Felicita Church to share a secret with the Medici family: the hidden window from which the family attended mass without being seen.

We’re going to see the Pitti Palace, residence of the Dukes, then Piazza Santo Spirito with its church, containing important works of art. Then we cross Via Maggio to see the prestigious buildings dating back to the XVIIth century.

Finally we reach Piazza Santa Trinita with its beautiful architectures. The visit ends in Via Tornabuoni, the Florentine shopping street.

The tour can be modified at your request: Instead of entering Piazza Santo Spirito, it is possible to visit the Carmine Church and Brancacci Chapel with the famous frescoes painted by Masaccio and Masolino.

Duration: the first suggestion 3 hours, the second 4 hours.
